WHAT IS MARATHON LBT?

Marathon LBT is a unique turf system designed to perform like no other.
Marathon LBT was developed utilizing the superior technology used for sport fields. The turf is composed of a high face weight, mono-filament fiber, which is tufted into a polyester backing and then coated with a secondary backing to provide excellent tuft bind. Mono-filament fiber is strong and provides increased consistency when compared to the slit filament fiber of most turf products. The fiber used is also UV stabile and unaffected by cold Canadian winters.

Marathon LBT is installed over a paved in place rubber surface and secured to a perimeter curb. The rubber surface insures directional stability and allows for the perfect ball roll every time. The rubber layer is paved over an aggregate or porous asphalt base. Both the turf and rubber layer are permeable which will eliminate water pooling.

If your club is looking for a synthetic turf, but has a tight budget,
Marathon LBT (sand dressed) is a more economical option. It uses the same high quality mono-filament turf, but can be installed directly over an aggregate base, using silica sand to stabilize the fibers.
